Nobody But You by Algebra Blessett

Lovers,

I don’t know if any of you know what it feels like to belong to one man in mind, body, and spirit. Algebra captured the essence of it in her song. It resonated with my soul as I listened to her describe how I feel. You don’t want another person touching you when their touch is all you crave. You don’t allow others into your head because others will not understand why you talk and he listens. We live and love through music that’s why I share the tunes that go with the stories.

But today I dedicate this one to my Boaz because it’s how I feel baby!

Fedora loves you. Peace

Boy, listen
Everybody can’t be in my head
Everybody can’t sleep in my bed
Everybody can’t be up in my face
Everybody can’t be all in my space

Now I might fuss a lil’ bit, curse a lil’ bit
You know this, yeah
But if you trust a lil’ bit
You gonna get one hundred percent

I don’t want nobody but you
Don’t want nobody touching me, baby
But you
Don’t want nobody kissing me, baby
But you
Don’t want nobody loving me, baby
But you
But you, you, you

Everybody won’t understand my journey
Everybody won’t know how it heal what hurts me
Everybody can’t be written into my story
Just because they want me don’t mean they ready for me

Now I might throw a lil’ fit, talk a lil’ slick
I do this, yeah
I’m willing to go on and admit it that you a perfect fit
Baby, you the shit

I don’t want nobody but you
Don’t want nobody touching me, baby
But you
Don’t want nobody kissing me, baby
But you
Don’t want nobody loving me, baby
But you
But you, you, you

Never mind what you thought, you were in my heart
Never mind what you think, you were in my dreams
Never mind how it seems, you’re my everything
Never mind

I don’t want nobody but you
Don’t want nobody touching me, baby
But you
Don’t want nobody kissing me, baby
But you
Don’t want nobody loving me, baby
But you
But you, you, you
I don’t want nobody but you

Sometimes U Make Me Smile by Floetry

When I think of you.
You make me smile (smile)
Sometimes you make me smile,
I can feel you.
I’m missing you.

Where is my heaven?
Where can you be?
How do I get there?
Do I believe?
Where is my sunshine?
Where is your light?
I wanna see you,
So you can make me smile.

Sometimes you make me smile.
Sometimes you make me smile.
Sometimes you make me smile I can feel you.
I’m missing you.

The most fragile part of me,
Nurses our strongest connection.
You live in my memory.
With a philosophy,
That now offers me completion.
I’m so well.
And it’s strange to be.
I’m torn by misdirection.
You’re my ambassador.
You personify my admiration.
So beautiful.
I live for you.
As you live for me.

Sometimes you make me smile.
Sometimes you make me smile.
Sometimes you make me smile I can feel you.
I’m missing you.

This is such a happy ever after.
You traveled miles,
Now we’re past the finishing line.
We’re starting on time.
My music wears your name,
If they knew where to look.
They’d find it.
You showed me.
I am I,
Because you be.
Forever.
So magnificent.
The most amazing story I ever told.
So much more to be written.
Thank you.

Sometimes you make me smile.
Sometimes you make me smile.
Sometimes you make me smile, I can feel you.
I’m missing you.
My love, love love
Missing my love.
I know I can hear you.
I’m missing you.

I only pray my skin be as soft as yours.
My wisdom flow so fluidly from my mind.
My eyes speak so truly of my spirit,
And my laughter speak the clarity of time.
You were once the I, that’s now missing you.
You were once the baby, born.
And you had dreams of making a difference in the world.
My journey was formed.

I feel you (I feel you)
I hear you (I hear you)
I see you (I see)
I believe in you (I be)
But I cry (I)
I cry (I)
My light (my light)
My light

I feel you (I feel you)
I hear you (I hear you)
I see you (I see)
I believe in you (I be)
But I cry (I)
I cry (I)
My light (my light)
My light

I feel you (I feel you)
I hear you (I hear you)
I see you (I see)
I believe in you (I be)
But I cry (I)
I cry (I)
My light (my light)
My light

Sometimes We Die a Little

Sometimes
Our hearts cause us
To make decisions that
Bring us joy

While our mind
Tells us to stop
Because it thinks
It needs more

Sometimes
The simple things
Are enough
To satisfy

But the masses
Keep saying
You need
To multiply
To diversify

Sometimes
Our lives spiral
Out of control
Not because we lie
But because
We choose to die

When we make choices
That reflect the world
Choosing not to live
According to His word

Sometimes
We forget
That we are humans
Flawed from within

Failing to realize
With God
We will always win

No Fear in Love

"Love is what we were born with" quote by Marianne Williamson

No Fear in Love

Love is a natural emotion that we are born with. Babies love in the womb, their mother’s warmth and security. But soon after love blooms fear taunts it with it’s lies and misconceptions.

We learn to fear from the experiences of life. Psychology testing has been completed using fear as a stimulant to produce certain behaviors in animals. Guess what, it worked. Fear conditions our heart and brain cautioning it to never feel it again. So we unconsciously protect ourselves from the things that may cause us pain.

But love, much sweeter, much richer than fear has the strength to overpower fear. Love will make you take action against one who was trying to harm your little one. Love will have you make sacrifices for the betterment of your beloved. Love will sustain you when everyone else and all else fails you.

But there are many who fear love. Yes they have a fear of love, which is called Philophobia. It’s real! Usually brought on by some traumatic event involving love, people suffer from sever anxiety and depression when presented with love relationships (Maharjan). Not just romantic ones, but casual ones as well. Any relationship that touches your heart.

For those of you who started your new year lonely but are scared to take a chance on love. I encourage you to face your fears. It is much more peaceful to consider that while you may have been scared of love, at least you didn’t run away from it, when it was presented to you.

God teaches us that there is no fear in love and that “perfect” “well-formed” love casts out fear. The only perfect love that exists is God’s love. Submitting one’s heart to God and allowing him to love you will cast out fear. God’s love will give you the boldness to stand even when afraid and receive what is yours.

To Love, to Be Loved

God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.
